Introduction

The consideration of sustainability aspects in the development of technical products will become increasingly important in the future, not least due to legal requirements. A holistic view of the ecological, economic and social dimensions of sustainability is essential in order to develop successful products in the long term.

Target Audience

The seminar is aimed at developers and managers who want to - and in future will have to - take sustainability aspects into account in R&D in addition to the classic objectives of quality, time and costs. No prior knowledge required!

Main Topics

  • Aspects of sustainability in technical products
  • Methods for assessing ecological, economic and social sustainability
  • Approaches to holistic optimisation
  • Application of the methods and optimisation approaches to examples from drive technology

Objectives

After the seminar, participants will be familiar with various methods for assessing the different dimensions of sustainability and will be able to apply these in their respective working environment.
