Collection and processing of personal data

As a rule, you can visit the FVA GmbH site without us requiring your personal data. We will receive only the name of your Internet service provider, the website from which you have accessed our site, and our websites that you visit. This information is used for statistical purposes only and individual visitors remain anonymous. Personal data is collected and processed only for the purpose specified by you, e.g. to order informational materials. This information is transferred in an encrypted form in order to avoid abuse by third parties.

Registration

Registration is required to download free FVA software. The only required fields are your name and surname, your company or university, and your password. All other information is optional. If you wish to cancel your registration, please use the contact information below.

Storage of data submitted in contact forms

Any information provided via inquiries using the contact form, including contact details, will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

Consent for advertising

Information provided via registration or contact forms may be used internally for advertising purposes if prior consent is given. You may revoke your consent for the future at any time by sending an e-mail to the address provided below. We will observe limits imposed by data protection and competition laws when using your data for advertising purposes.

Storage of IP addresses

Information about IP addresses will be stored in the respective infrastructure components (in particular, web server/firewall log files) for 30 days for the purpose of generating statistics as well as for security reasons. No link is created between the accessing IP address and personal data in the application. FVA GmbH prepares statistics based on retrievals from their website at regular intervals. In this context, stored IP addresses are used without creating an allocation of user identification or other personal data in the application.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or provided separately by you in order to send you our e-mail newsletter regularly in accordance with your consent. After submitting the registration form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us. The newsletter subscription will only become effective after you have clicked on the link in the confirmation e-mail ("Double-Opt-In"). Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. We use Newsletter2Go, a product of Newsletter2Go GmbH, for newsletter distribution. The provider is based in Germany and is subject to the data protection regulations applicable in Germany. Newsletter2Go does not share this data with third parties. Newsletter2Go provides analytical tools which make it possible to make statements about the effectiveness of the newsletter distribution.
