FVA-Workbench 11.0.0 Released: New Features for Gear Design
FVA-Workbench 11.0.0 is available as of 14 April 2026. New features such as rotating rainflow, gear skiving, and a local friction model enable more precise and realistic design of gear systems.
Call for papers for the 2027 CWD & DSEC conferences extended
The call for papers for CWD & DSEC 2027 has been extended. Submit your abstract by 30 April 2026, and present your findings on wind energy or drive and systems engineering to an international audience of experts.
nextlub Conference: Call for papers extended through 4 May 2026
The 3rd International Conference on Tribology and Sustainable Lubrication will take place on 20-21 January 2027 in Leipzig, and we are requesting submissions of innovative papers. The deadline is 4 May 2026.

Formula Student teams in the fast lane with the FVA-Workbench
In the 2025 Formula Student Season, we supplied several university teams with the FVA-Workbench so that they could design their gearbox concepts based on a solid foundation and make technical decisions based on reliable calculations.
BEARING WORLD 2026: Program online & ticket shop now open
The 6th international BEARING WORLD conference will take place 17-18 June, 2026. The conference, which will be held in Dresden for the first time, will feature a diverse program with keynotes from SKF, Schaeffler, and FUCHS LUBRICANTS. Early bird tickets are available until 31 January, 2026.
Call for papers now open: SiME Congress 2026 in Darmstadt
The Call for Papers for the SiME Congress 2026 is now open! Abstracts can be submitted through 14 January, 2026 on the topics of components, sensor systems, operation, as well as regulations and methods related to sensor-integrating machine elements.
New blog post: New tricks for an old Bulldog - upgrading a classic tractor with digital precision
Dr.-Ing. Georg Hammerl used the FVA-Workbench to optimize the gearbox of a vintage Bulldog tractor from 1940. This Success Story demonstrates how digital simulations can improve the efficiency of historic machines.
More reliable thanks to user feedback: FVA-Workbench 10.1.1 update released
Just a month after the release of version 10.1, the version 10.1.1 bugfix update is already available. Based on user feedback, this version corrects errors in CAD export and calculation functionalities, making the software even more reliable.
FVA GmbH at the Motion + Power Technology Expo 2025 in Detroit
FVA GmbH will be on location at the MPT Expo in Detroit, 21-23 October, 2025. At booth 230, we will be presenting the latest features of the FVA-Workbench. Dennis Tazir will also give a presentation on efficiency and NVH as part of the Fall Technical Meeting.

FVA GmbH will be present at the International Conference on Gears (ICG), 10–12 September, 2025 in Garching. We will be demonstrating the latest version of the FVA-Workbench at booth 13, and Frederik Mieth and Dennis Tazir will also be presenting.
