Connectivity is key for all machines in the 21st century. This includes the transmission of data in and out of devices and software systems. However, creating a standard with global acceptance is a challenge. umati relies on OPC UA as a global interoperability standard to enable simple, secure and seamless connection of machines and software and to support customers exploit added value from data.
FVA GmbH has joined the umati community to address this challenge of the mechanical engineering industry with like-minded people and to join forces to promote an open standard worldwide.
